Named to a body of the Mexican army at the time of its independence from Spain. It was only active for three years; It received the name of Trigarante army and was commanded by an officer named Iturbide. It set as a aims to ensure three points, which were the main points which were called the "three guarantees. They were: Religion, independence and the union of all Mexicans.
